Well lots of work done here. Lets start with the surveyors pictures of the porch which was falling apart. A storm in January added to the damage so something had to be done.
The porch has all been rebuilt and while I was painting that I decided I would touch up the paint on the front of the house. All looks smarter now.
The garage and driveway were swamped with a tree. By the time I bought the property it was much worse than in the first photo. Second is now. I also repainted the gate and fencing.
Right by the house was a huge sycamore. I have no doubt this was adding to the problem of damp in the hall closet and was crazy to plant this sort of tree so close to the house. I have had this professionally removed and it looks so much better. Have also hung a bird box that matches the house. Found this when I was clearing the garden at Ascot. A touch of paint and it looks like it has always been there.
